Article Reflection
I chose the article Halloween TV Shows to put on my website for many reasons. First, it is the first article I have written for the newspaper that has been published. Also, in this article I learned a lot about grammar used in newspapers that is different than in a essay written for English. I learned what titles to italicize, underline, and what to put into quotation mark.
First Draft of Dancing Divas
Dance Moms is a television show on Lifetime about seven dancers, their moms, and an irratic dance teacher, Abby Lee Miller.
The girls, Madison Ziegler, Mackenzie Ziegler, Chloe Lukasiak, Paige Hyland, Brooke Hyland, Nia Frazier, and Kendall Vertes dance at the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The team goes to dance competition almost every weekend and is expected to win first. Abby places the girls on a pyramid based on how well they performed at the competition and how what place they received at the competition and how what place they received at the competition. This show is currently in the third season of the show.
Catelyn Di Leva says, "I love Dance Moms. I'm obsessed with it. I have met some of the girls and have taken class from Abby. It is an amazing experience and the girls are amazing dancers."
However, contradicting Catelyn's opinion, Mackensie Banchik says, "I think that the show is very redundant. The girls are really great, but the same thing happens every week. The moms fight with Abby and Maddie is on top of the pyramid."
Dance Moms is one of my favorite TV shows. I think that the girls are talented. The drama between the moms of the dancers can be unnecessary, but entertaining at the same time.
